Description:

You, as a performance improvement professional, would likely use self-administered survey questionnaires to collect data and make evidence-based decisions. How do you put together your survey questionnaires? What type of response scales are available for you? Which response scales should you use and why? Are they designed to provide you with the type of data you intended to use? Our presentation will help you develop survey questionnaires with evidence-based survey design principles. Specific topics include:

  •          The basic survey anatomy
  •          Different types of response scales
  •          Different survey designs for different purposes
  •          Problems with ceiling effects (research-based recommendations)
  •          Use of positively-packed response scales (research-based recommendations)
