Visitors to our website may voluntarily opt to share their personal data to join ISPI BABS as a member or to register for any of our activities or events throughout the year. This information will be limited to email address and name on our BABS website, though the service providers for our membership and registration functions will request other additional information as required. We do not use cookies except to track the actions of anyone with administrative access to the “back-end” of the website to update and/or edit website content.  That is we do not use cookies to monitor or record the actions of visitors to our website.

The personal information that we do maintain is in a secure database separate from our website.  Below is the information that we collect, for the purpose of communicating with our members and those who participate in BABS activities and events.

ISPI BABS obtains your personal data directly from you when you provide us with your personal information in the course of joining as a member of BABS, or when you register for an ISPI BABS sponsored or supported activity or event.  All personal information obtained from you is handled in accordance with our policies and with GDPR and other applicable legislation.


Cookies are unique bits of text that many websites write to your computer the first time you visit.  Cookies are stored on your hard drive and may later be accessed by the website to track prior usage.

Communicating with our constituents

ISPI BABS will use your personally identifying information to communicate with you regarding your membership status, as well as, upcoming ISPI BABS and other professional development activities and events. We will not share your personal information with any third party.


We will not sell, lend, or disclose to third parties any information collected from ISPI BABS members or non-members who register for ISPI BABS activities and events.

Other Websites

Our website is linked to a membership and activities/events registration service provider as well as a financial/payment processing provider, which will collect information as required for those transactions.  Both service provider site are GDPR compliant and have Privacy Policies that can be accessed through their websites.  We are not responsible for the privacy policies of these service providers, but we are confident they are in compliance with all applicable regulations and legislation designed to keep your personal data safe.   Please visit the relevant sites to review their privacy policies.

How is the Data Protected?

Data security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via our websites, your information is protected both online and offline.  ISPI BABS never collects sensitive information.

Your contact information (email address) is protected offline. Access to the data base where that information is stored, is limited to three (3) individuals with administrative authority. Our database is stored on and accessed from computers/servers operated by service providers (vendors), who offer a secure environment for data storage and access.

These service providers have in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to protect the information stored by them for us. However, as effective as these measures are no security system is impenetrable. We cannot completely guarantee the security of our database, nor can we guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.
