My name is Mike Blahnik, and I serve on ISPI’s committee for the Emerging Professional Network along with Stefan Krueger and Randall Hallman. As a committee, we’ve been tasked with reaching out to emerging professionals (EPs) and recruiting, engaging and retaining HPT newcomers to ISPI as members, event attendees and volunteers.
We have a couple projects which we’re excited to promote, and we need your help in targeting this specific group. The first is an online reading group that will bring EPs together online to meet and discuss essential performance improvement literature. The second project focuses on making THE 2014 Performance Improvement Conference a welcoming experience to first-timers and partnering these attendees with established industry colleagues.
We consider emerging professionals to be students, recent graduates, young professionals, or anyone currently transitioning into a new career related to performance improvement. Are you in contact with emerging professionals through your local chapter? If yes, we’d love your help connecting with them. We’re suggesting a couple of things:
If you consider yourself an Emerging Professional and are looking to get more involved at the International level, please let us know. We invite you and any applicable chapter colleagues you might know to contact us. You can reach each of the committee members at the addresses below.
